Laser Hair Removal
Overview
Laser hair reduction uses focused light energy to reduce unwanted hair growth safely and effectively. It gives you long-term hair reduction in the face and body by targeting the pigment in the hair follicles.
For the best results, laser hair reduction typically requires six to ten treatment sessions scheduled four to eight weeks apart, depending on the area. This is because hair grows in cycles, and the laser is only effective during the active growth phase.
During treatment, you may feel a mild snapping sensation and the treated area may appear slightly red immediately after. This usually fades after a few hours. Your hair will shed naturally in the one to three weeks after each session.
Before & After
FAQs
Is laser hair reduction permanent?
It offers significant long-term reduction and most people experience 80 to 90% reduction. You may need some maintenance sessions once or twice a year to manage any regrowth.
Does it hurt?
Most people describe the sensation as a light snap of a rubber band against the skin. Our modern laser systems include cooling technology to ensure your comfort.
Can I shave in between sessions?
Yes you can. Shaving is actually recommended before your appointment. However, you should avoid plucking, waxing, or threading as the laser needs the hair root to be present.
Is it suitable for all skin types?
We use advanced medical-grade lasers that can be safely adjusted for different skin types. We use your consultation and patch test to determine the best setting for you.
