Breast Lift
Overview
A breast lift (mastopexy) addresses breast droop after pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight change, or ageing. If your main concern is droop with nipples that sit low or point downward, a lift is usually the most predictable solution.
The procedure changes shape and position rather than significantly increasing size. If you want more volume as well, augmentation options can be discussed. The objective is restoration of proportion and improved position, not changing your identity.
What to Expect
Breast lift surgery is usually performed under general anaesthetic. The scar pattern is selected based on breast size, skin quality, and degree of droop: periareolar for mild droop, vertical (‘lollipop’) for mild to moderate, and Wise-pattern (‘anchor’) for more significant cases. The procedure involves reshaping breast tissue for projection, repositioning the nipple-areola complex on a pedicle to preserve blood supply and sensation, and meticulous layered closure. Recovery involves swelling and bruising in the first 1-2 weeks, with most patients returning to desk work within 2-4 weeks.
Benefits
Lift the breast to a higher, more natural position
Reshape the breast for better projection and contour
Reposition the nipple-areola complex to a more natural location
Improve symmetry as far as anatomy allows
Improve proportionality for your frame
Address stretched skin and breast ptosis
Suitable for patients with good volume but poor position
Our Services

Breast Lift (Mastopexy)
A surgical procedure to raise and reshape sagging breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue to support the new breast contour.

Breast Lift with Implant Exchange
For patients with existing implants who desire a lift. The old implants are removed and replaced with new ones, often changing size or profile, while the breast tissue is lifted and reshaped.

Breast Lift with Implant Removal (Explant)
Removal of existing breast implants combined with a lift to reshape the natural breast tissue. This addresses the laxity that often remains after implant removal.

Breast Lift Revision (Revision Mastopexy)
Corrective surgery for patients who have had a previous breast lift but are unhappy with the results or have experienced recurrent drooping over time.
Before & After
FAQs
Does a breast lift make breasts bigger?
Not significantly. A lift reshapes and elevates the breast. If you want more volume, augmentation options can be discussed.
Will I have scars?
Yes. Scars depend on the technique needed for your anatomy. The goal is the smallest scar that still gives a safe, durable result. We will show you the expected pattern during consultation.
Will my breasts droop again?
Ageing and gravity continue, but a well-planned lift restores a higher position and better shape. Long-term durability depends on tissue quality, skin elasticity, and lifestyle factors.
When can I drive and return to work?
Usually once you’re comfortable, off strong pain relief, and can perform an emergency stop. Desk work is commonly possible within 2-4 weeks; heavy or manual work takes longer.
Can I breastfeed after a lift?
Some women can, some cannot. We aim to preserve function where possible, but breastfeeding cannot be guaranteed.
